Summary

Amends the

Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act 2012
to: clarify that the National Maritime Safety Regulator (NMSR) has the function of surveying vessels and dealing with matters relating to the survey of vessels by accredited surveyors; enable the NMSR to exercise discretion when considering the suspension, revocation and variation of vessel certificates; provide for the sub-delegation of powers; clarify the review rights of the NMSR and marine safety inspectors; and make technical amendments.
